Once in
a blue
moon a
special
individual
comes
into the
world
destined
to leave
their
mark on
the
hearts
of many....
and
without
a doubt
our Major
was one
of
those. When
Major
was born
in
August
of 2002
he won
our
hearts
immediately
with his
charming
ways and
beautiful
conformation.
I felt
he was a
major
breakthrough
in my
breeding
program-
and so
our
Major
was
named.... |
|
Major's
high
spirits
and joy
in life
were
apparent
in every
'bounce
step' he
took up
until
his very
last
days
when he
crossed
the
rainbow
bridge.
He was a
true
ambassador
for our
breed,
and
always
breeder/owner
handled.
With
limited
showing,
Major
became
the #1
breeder/owner
handled
Mastiff in
the US
in 2005,
won BBE
at
Eukanuba
(also
owner
handled!)
in 2007
as well
as
several
MCOA
specialty
wins and
awards
in 2006
and
2007.
His kids
have
also
done
well
both in
conformation
and
performance
events.
But
our
beloved
Major
was
never a
'commodity'
to us. |

Though
Major
did love
going to
dog
shows
with his
mom, our
goals
were
never to
campaign
a dog
with all
that
entails.
Major
taught
me so
much and
I will
always
be
grateful
for the
blessing
that he
was to
our
family. His
loss
represents
the end
of an
era in
our
lives
and he
can
never be
replaced.
Though
Major
can
never be
replaced,
we are
blessed
to have
special
Major
kids and
grandkids
to cheer
us up
and
remind
us of
him in
various
ways. |

His
beautiful spirit
does live on in many
of his offspring and
this is a comfort.
Major is sorely
missed by his best
friend 'Ori' and his
littermate sister
Lily. His loss
has left our entire
family broken
hearted. |
|
Major
we will always love
you and will never
forget you. I look
forward to being
together again
someday! |
